Who we are
Tides of Liberation was created from the understanding that transformation is a human process before it is an organizational one.
Across cultures, histories, and systems, people experience change in waves—periods of clarity and uncertainty, expansion and contraction, action and rest. Like tides, these movements are shaped by forces we do not always control, yet they carry a quiet intelligence that guides growth when we learn how to move with them rather than against them.
This practice exists to support individuals and organizations as they navigate moments of transition with awareness, dignity, and care. Tides of Liberation blends strategic insight with reflective practice to help people release limiting patterns, make sense of complexity, and move toward ways of working that are more humane, sustainable, and aligned.
The work is grounded in a simple truth: when people are seen, supported, and given space to reflect, change becomes not only possible—but lasting.
How We Work
We are coaches, facilitators, and consultants who believe that meaningful change happens through reflection, relationship, and intentional movement.
Coaching, as we practice it, is a collaborative and client-centered process. It is a space to explore questions, clarify values, examine patterns, and strengthen self-trust. Coaching supports people in making sense of where they are, identifying what matters most, and choosing how they want to move forward.
Facilitation is about creating thoughtful, inclusive spaces for dialogue, learning, and collective insight. We design and guide experiences that invite participation, honor diverse perspectives, and help groups move from conversation to shared understanding.
Consulting is where insight meets structure. We partner with individuals and organizations to make meaning of complexity, align intention with action, and support sustainable change through human-centered strategies and practices.
At the same time, it is important to name what this work is not.
We are not mental health professionals, and we do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Coaching is not a replacement for therapy or other clinical services. When appropriate, this work is designed to complement and support therapeutic, medical, or wellness care by offering space for reflection, accountability, and forward-focused growth.
We believe people are experts in their own lives. Our role is not to fix or prescribe, but to walk alongside, ask meaningful questions, and support clarity, agency, and movement.
Tides of Liberation is a coaching and consulting practice rooted in the belief that meaningful change begins when people are seen clearly by themselves and by others.
Founded by Rahshek Ellis, the practice supports individuals and organizations navigating transition, pressure, and questions of identity, purpose, and belonging. The work centers on helping people move with intention, especially during moments when clarity feels distant, systems feel constraining, or old ways of being no longer fit.
Rahshek is a Certified Professional Coach, having completed The Academy of Creative Coaching’s Life and Leadership Coach Certification Training Program, an ICF accredited coaching education. Their approach is relational, reflective, and grounded, balancing depth with practicality and insight with action.
With a background in leadership development, organizational culture, and human centered practice, Rahshek brings deep experience supporting people across diverse identities, roles, and life stages. This work does not offer quick fixes or prescribed answers. Instead, it creates space to uncover what is true, build self-trust, and move forward in ways that feel aligned and sustainable.
Because liberation is not a destination. It is a practice shaped over time.
